Jethalaal is a businessman who is not educated and he lives with his wife and son Tapu. He’s constantly worried about his son’s mischievous behaviour and brings his father Champaklal to stay with them. He hopes that the grandfather will have a stabilising influence on Tapu. The show revolves around not only Jethalaal and his family members, but also everyone else living in Gokuldham Co-operative Society. The situations will be portrayed as seen through the eyes of Taarak Mehta, a journalist. With people from different walks of life staying together in the same compound and so many happenings in their lives, there’s a lot of scope for humour when everything’s seen through Taarak’s ooltah chashmah....
